I've now added more MIDIs to the site! Includes songs such as Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel, MMMBop by Hanson, I Swear by All 4 One, and more. The MIDI Files Page has also been updated with a lot more songs. I also added more pictures for the "Pic of the Moment".
Today I have to complete my Engineering Drawing work, and study for the Semiconductor Devices exam. Tomorrow these exams will be over, so I hope to write some movie reviews then.

What am I doing up this late, you ask? Well, it's not really that late for me. The 5th internal exams are almost coming to a close. There is only one exam left, that is, Semiconductor Devices and Circuits. Today was the English exam. After coming back home, I updated quite a few things on this site:
The other things I've been doing - I saw The Hitcher on AXN Action TV today. Directed by Robert Harmon, it stars C. Thomas Howell, Rutger Hauer and Jennifer Jason Leigh. It was a good action movie. I also found a site that has a port of Heretic for Linux, (something that I realised would be nice to have, just this morning) which is http://heretic.linuxgames.com by André Werthmann.
If you have been visiting my other sites and if you were wondering why I haven't updated for a very long time... here's the reason -
If you are wondering why I haven't been updating my Themes Site, or my Buffy Site, it is because I lost all the files of those sites in a hard-drive crash. So I'm going to have to download the whole sites back to my local folders, and then update. I don't want to do that before the replacement hard disk arrives, so it will take some time before updates are made on those sites.
My friend Kishore will be installing Red Hat Linux 6.2 today (or tomorrow) - wish him luck!

It's been a few days since I wrote anything on this site, because I've got exams now at college (5th Internal Exams). Tomorrow we have a test on Numerical Methods in Computers. I just finished studying for it, so I thought I'd write something here. I had downloaded a few source ports for Doom some time ago - Doom 95, Boom, GLDoom, and Doom 3D, for DOS/Windows, and LXDoom in Linux. Now in the past few days I've had the opportunity to try out DOSDoom, ZDoom, and I also downloaded the shareware Doom 1.9. Out of the ports, Boom, ZDoom and Doom 95 are easily my favourites. I don't want to fill up this page writing about all the features of those, I will soon have a page solely for Doom Source Ports. Speaking about Doom, I also downloaded quite a few utilities to tweak demo LMP files. And that Doom demo which I had played will possibly be back by tomorrow.
As for modifications to this site, let's see... two days ago I changed the colour scheme a bit, and today I wrote another very nice Javascript that displays a "Pic of the moment" everytime you open the main page. This is, again, selected at random from a collection of pictures. Some more songs as background music have also been added. And I also tweaked the style sheet for this page to make it do the same job, but it's smaller and hence more efficient!
This Thursday on AXN at 10 PM there's a movie that I'd seen about three and a half years ago - The Prophecy (a.k.a. God's Army). It's an unusual, nicely made horror movie starring Christopher Walken and Elias Koteas, and is written and directed by Gregory Widen. I would like watching it again, but I've got two exams on Friday - Network Theory and Semiconductor Devices Practicals.

I'm glad to anounce the opening of my friend Ganeshan's new home page - visit it at http://www.geocities.com/xantha100! I just connected to the internet sometime ago to upload these new files, and I saw a mail he sent to me about his site. Of course, I went to it right away and read every page on it. You should find it interesting (especially you, Srikanth...).
And this is something else I forgot to write about before - my Semester B ISAS at NIIT! Yesterday our ISAS groups were allocated, and my team's topic this time is about the impact of the internet. The mid-ISAS submission will be on September 4th, and the actual presentation of our team will be sometime later.
(If you don't understand what I'm talking about - ISAS, NIIT, etc., I'm sorry, but I had written a page explaining everything about my college courses and those I'm doing at NIIT. That page was erased, so I'm going to have to rewrite it.)
I just remembered something else I've been meaning to write - the Doom demo which I had played is no longer available here to download. It seems I'd forgotten to upload it, and the hard drive failure erased that too. I had given a copy of it to Ganeshan, so I might be able to get it back if he still has it. Otherwise I'm going to have to record the demo all over again.

How do you like the new design? I spent most of the day today redesigning the site - it looks completely different now, don't you think? Here are some of the improvements I've made:
More ideas, more improvements coming soon! Also watch out for new content - maybe this time I'll have a "media" page with video clips and audio files.

It's been a while since I properly updated this site. In the last one and a half months:
I'm now using FrontPage Express 2.0 to update this site. Yesterday I downloaded the whole soundtracks of Doom and Doom II from The Very Best MIDI. I also figured out how to get my MIDI files to play under Linux. I'm going to have to download more, now (I had over 500 MIDIs). I've also been downloading pictures and media related to the new series on STAR World, First Wave. More on that will appear soon on the TV Shows Page.
Tripod has increased the space it allocates for members from 11 MB to 50 MB! So with all this, I'm thinking of really redesigning this site - probably in a couple of hours!!

Due to a hard-disk crash, I lost ALL the work I had done on this site in the past one and a half months... I had made a lot of changes and improvements to this site, including:
... and more. Unfortunately all this has been undone, and I'm back where I started - building this site in its initial stages!! I'm going to have to rewrite and recreate everything that I lost. This will take time. But one advantage to all this is that I can now redesign this site - and try a different look.
I also lost all the themes that I was planning to release on my Themes Site, and also the updates to my Buffy site.
It will take sometime before a replacement hard disk comes - until then there won't be any substantial updates to this site, or any of my sites for that matter.
