The papers submitted must belong to any of the following branches of Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Computer Science and Information Technology
There is no fixed topic for the contest - participants can choose any topic as long as they belong to the above categories. The only topics NOT allowed are pure Mechanical Engineering topics.
- The paper must be submitted on A4 sized, double spaced and single sided paper only.
- Each paper may have a maximum of 2 authors only.
- Each paper must be limited to 10 pages (excluding abstract) with an abstract not exceeding 150 words.
- The paper must be a report of work authenticated by the respective IEEE Branch Counsellor or the Head of the Institution.
- The title page of the paper must clearly specify the author(s)' Postal Address, and optionally, telephone number and email address.
- The authors must clearly specify the paper category.
- IEEE Members must enclose a photocopy of the IEEE Membership card.
- 2 copies of the paper must be sent to the below given address...

- First Prize: Rs. 1000
- Second Prize: Rs. 500
All participants will be presented with a certificate.
Papers submitted should include a Demand Draft of
- Rs. 100 per paper, per author for IEEE members
- Rs. 150 per paper, per author for non-members
In favour of Principal, SNIST payable at Hyderabad.
Out station students will be provided with accomodation, Rs. 50 per day stay.
Papers will be shortlisted for presentation by a panel of judges whose decision will be final and binding.
